What’s your greatest fear? If you’re anything like us, it’s probably ordering a pizza, waiting two hours for it to arrive and opening the box to find out it’s got pineapple on it...

OK, so that might not be a particularly important thing to worry about, but have you ever tried eating around a pineapple-stained pizza when it’s late in the evening? It's not easy!

Since it’s Face Your Fears Day today, we’ve put together a quick list of some obvious and obscure concerns. Then, because we’re nice people here at Buzz Bingo, we’ve given you some tips on how to tackle them.

Syngenesophobia – Fear of Relatives
They say you can choose your friends but you can’t choose your family. Well, if you’d rather not face the latter, how about using the latest trend to your advantage? A quick Zoom call can be enough to keep those pesky relatives at bay. Simple.

Globophobia – Fear of Balloons
Why would anyone be scared of balloons? The biggest reason is that they can go pop. A neat, if not slightly strange, way to prevent this is to cover balloons in tape. This technique is used by magicians as a way of passing needles through balloons without popping them. Failing that, just watch David Blaine’s latest stunt and you’ll see there’s nothing to worry about.

Aerophobia – Fear of Flying
There are plenty of conventional ways to cure a fear of flying. Mindfulness, eye masks, breathing techniques and acupressure (pinching your own hand) can all keep you relaxed. However, we think the best way to do it is to pretend you’re riding a rollercoaster, particularly when turbulence kicks in.

Acrophobia – Fear of Heights
People say the best cure for a fear of heights is exposure. However, in today’s tech-led world, you don’t have to find a high spot. Instead, put on a virtual reality headset and try an app like ZeroPhobia. This game puts you at the top of various heights so you can get comfortable in a safe setting.

Whatever your fears, just remember that the mind is a powerful tool. If you can learn to control your fears, remain calm and think rationally, you can conquer just about any phobia you might have. Good luck!
