In celebration of Pride month throughout June and events in July, here at Buzz Bingo, we have taken a look at the best cities across the UK to go and celebrate love.

The data showed that the top Pride city to celebrate is Manchester, with a score of 56 out of 100. Home to 16 different LGBTQ+ bars and clubs, and a further 142 pubs, it’s the perfect place to gather with your friends. The average price of a pint across Manchester is £5.75, and the average meal at a restaurant is £15, so it is a cheaper alternative than other top cities like London and Brighton.

It’s no secret that Manchester hosts one of the most iconic Pride lineups year after year, with the likes of Jessie J and Ariana Grande taking the stage for Manchester Pride in previous years. The 2026 lineup sees appearances from Girls Aloud’s Nadine Coyle and RuPaul’s Drag Race UK winner, Danny Beard. The last headliners of the last three years in Manchester have a combined monthly listening on Spotify of almost 64 million.

These are the top 20 UK cities to celebrate Pride

London came second on the list with an overall score of 55. Each year, London raises the bar with their music headliners, with Chaka Khan taking the Trafalgar stage last year, and Grammy-nominated MNEK set to headline on July 4th. London is also home to 25 dedicated LGBTQ+ clubs and bars, the highest across all cities in the study.

Following closely behind with a score of just under 45 is Brighton and Hove. Brighton’s Pride celebrations are known across the globe as some of the best, with many dubbing Brighton the ‘Pride capital’ of the UK. The recent headliners in Brighton, across the past three years, have a combined monthly listening on Spotify of a massive 102,806,010. This is the highest across all cities in the study, with the second being Manchester, and third being London, at just under 55 million.

Birmingham came in fourth place, with a score of 38. Birmingham is home to 5 dedicated LGBTQ+ bars and clubs, and has a cheaper average pint of £5.25. This is the lowest pint price compared to the top 3 cities. In London, the average pint will set you back a massive £7, and Brighton averages at £6.50.

Mark Fletcher, Head of Brand here at Buzz Bingo, noted:

“Pride parades are the perfect place to gather and celebrate love. It’s a great opportunity to visit a new city, explore new bars and bring people together. Our research shows that Manchester is the best place to be, with performances from top music stars, and an array of LGBTQ+ bars and clubs to choose from. Buzz Bingo is celebrating Pride Month with themed nights across local clubs, and Buzz Bingo’s Plymouth club are sponsoring Plymouth Pride this year on the 11th July. So if you’re located nearby, come on down!”

Methodology: An index looking at a range of factors that are associated with Pride celebrations and LGBTQ+ inclusivity. The following data sources were used:

  • Price of a pint - Numbeo
  • Price of a meal at an inexpensive restaurant - Numbeo
  • Number of pubs - Tripadvisor
  • Number of LGBTQ+ clubs/bars - Tripadvisor
  • Music headliners - Previous year’s music lineup announcements and the number of monthly listeners on Spotify were also gathered.

The data was then indexed, using the following weights: LGBTQ+ bars 25%, Spotify monthly listeners 25%, and the remaining three metrics (pint price, number of pubs, average meal price) all at 16.7% each.
